Greed of the King Lightwave 3D, Photoshop October 2009
This is one of my last pieces in 3D. All models are made with metanurbs in LightWave 7.5 (UV mapping for textures) whereas the background and the final compositing is made in Photoshop. I'm no longer a 3D artist so it's sound strange for me to describe now techniques like these!
The illustration represents the greed of the powerful men. The greed becames a voracious monster with belly full of the victims fallen in sacrifice to reach the power. The 'greed' has devoured the man ... at the end he rests alone : around him there is only a desolate land.
This work was selected and included in Character Modeling 2.
